Yaa's Rosie May Home Fundraising Page

Yaa's Rosie May Home Fundraising Page · 14 January 2016
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The purpose of this page is to raise money for the Rosie May Memorial fund, a UK based charity which was founded in memory of a 10 year old girl called Rosie May who was brutally murdered in 2003.
The Rosie May Home in Sri Lanka, which is where I will be volunteering this summer, was built by this charity in order to give orphaned and abandoned young girls the future that Rosie May’s parents hoped and wished for their daughter.
These girls were affected by the 2004 Asian Tsunami, and the home aims to support and care for them, so that they can reach their full potential and possess the skills needed to live independently when they leave the home. The home is also filled with love, security and belonging- 3 qualities that these young girls- and all children- deserve to have.
My fundraising target is £500, which I hope to achieve though a number of fundraising events such as a sponsored sleep out outside my University’s Student Union.
I am so passionate about contributing to a charity that dedicate their time and effort into an amazing project that looks after less fortunate children and seeks to positively impact them. Therefore I would be extremely grateful if you could please donate anything that you can.
All donations will be given directly to this charity.
