Story

Myself and other Retained Firefighters. Siriol Evans,  Robbie Parry and Jamie Martin  from
Retained Watch at Aberystwyth Fire Station will be taking part in the very first Fire Ride Wales, a bike ride that links up all the Wales Fire Stations. The route is made up of fourteen successive legs covering Wales beautiful landscapes and joining all the communities around the country. This is set to be a superb event with all proceeds going to Fire Fighters Charity and Wales Air Ambulance.
Due to work commitments as we all have main jobs, our plan is to finish work on Saturday 23 May at lunchtime, travel to New Quay Fire Station and join the 50+ mile leg back to Aberystwyth via Aberaeron,Lampeter, Tregaron. Sunday 24 May, we will aim to ride the leg from Aberystwyth to Barmouth, 61+miles. Depending then on arranging days off from work I will ride one leg the week after on my own Friday 29th Newtown to Builth Wells And just to make it a little bit more interesting we all be riding mountain bikes. If you feel it is a just cause to donate to, MANY THANKS. :-)
