GWCT 2015 Woodcock Watch Project

2015 Woodcock Watch · 25 February 2015
The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust are tracking woodcock migration paths using satellite tagging technology and this cutting-edge research is enabling the charity to identify the threats and risks to woodcock from climate change, deforestation, marsh drainage and intensive farming across Europe.
The cost of monitoring and analysing data from 10 woodcock for a whole year is £4,500. We want to monitor as many birds as possible so enough data can be gathered during this ground-breaking project.
