Dear Friends & Supporters,

this is about gathering support through fundraising for War Child, an organisation that supports children suffering from war.

For almost 25 years, War Child offers specialist services in protection, education and vocational training to children caught up in war.

War Child are based in the world's most hostile countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Uganda and Jordan, where they have been working with displaced Syrian refugees since 2013.  

My fundraising is part of a larger campaign organised by A&O to provide financial support to War Child in the context of A&O's two year partnership with War Child. One element of this teaming up with War Child is a trek taking place in September to visit War Child's activities in the Jordanian region.

A lot of you do have or do know children growing up in the safety and well being of Western Europe or similar politically and economically stable regions.

It would be great if you could help bringing some of this stability and well-being to the children supported by War Child.

As an incentive for you to donate, I will double every donation made by you. In any case, I will personally donate 1 GBP on top for each km I commute to the office by bike for the period from 1 May to 13 September 2017.
