This September I will be taking on my biggest and most exciting challenge yet - a 60km trek across Jordan's desert to raise much needed funds for War Child (https://www.warchild.org.uk/). Myself and 23 amazing Allen & Overy staff from across the world will start the trek on the 14th of September, where we will be led by a local Bedouin guide from Dana Reserve all the way to the ancient city of Petra. Temperatures will be VERY HOT, which will add to the already challenging conditions of the route across the mountainous (but extremely scenic) desert. 

Why am I doing this? The number of children whose lives have been devastated by war and conflict is shocking - War Child's vision is a world where no child's life is torn apart by War. They offer specialist services in protection, education and vocational training to children caught up in war and are based in the world’s most hostile countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Central Africa Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Jordan, where they have been working with displaced Syrian refugees since 2013.
