Today, nine people will lose their lives or suffer serious injury because of landmines, unexploded bombs and other weapons.  Almost half
will be children.

Every day, millions of people live in fear of death or injury, unable to make a living and trapped in poverty by the legacy of war and conflict. Everyone is at risk.

It is not fair, and it is not right, that people should be condemned to live in poverty and danger. People have a right to a safe future, free from fear, so they can rebuild their lives after conflict.

MAG finds and destroys landmines and other unexploded weapons to clear land for people affected by conflict, so they can go about their daily lives free from danger and fear. MAG’s work has benefited nearly 15 million people, helping them to re-establish their livelihoods and improve their families’ lives. Above all, it gives people a future free from the fear of death and injury to them and their children.
