Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
we are getting ready to take on kilamanjaro ... look out for fundraising days x
In September 2013 We will be taking on the biggest challenge of our life, Stella Wesley-Flynn and Vix Lassetter will be climbing Kilimanjaro for Macmillan Cancer.
We will be hosting various fundraising events including, Cocktail evenings, running car treasure hunts, baking cakes and lunches, making and selling jewellery etc along with getting fit and trained ready to take on the highest free standing mountain in the world! All profits from the events will be added to this page, so you can keep track of how the fundraising is getting on.
We am sure that someone you know and love has been affected by Cancer at some point in the life and it is with that, that we are making this plea to you to help me raise as much money as possible to go towards helping those with cancer.Did you know that one in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way and that what Macmillan does.They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.

We are trying to raise £10,500 for Macmillan as approx £1691 (each) of sponsorship goes towards the cost of the challenge and paying for the flights, accommodation on a mountain (tent on a rock I believe!! without anywhere for us to plug in hair straighteners!) if we raise more than £8,800 we understand that more than 64% sponsorship money goes direct to Macmillan. we will be donating as much of our own money as possible so more can go towards the tremendous support that Macmillan give.
