We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

In 2007 I lost my gramps Doug after a long battle with Alzheimer's. In 2008, I then lost my gran Edith who was suffering with the onset of Dementia. They were incredible parents, grandparents and great grandparents and they are sorely missed by us all.

There are now 700,000 people in the UK with dementia and this is expected to grow to 1,000,000 people by 2025. The Alzheimer's Society depends on donations and fundraising to help those suffering with the disease and also help the families affected by it.

£25 will enable 2 callers to reach the Alzheimer’s Helpline and get all the support and advice they need, while £50 will pay for a day of respite care so that the family and carers can have a much needed break.

In August 2013, I will climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest free standing mountain, to raise money for the charity.

Whilst I will be in Tanzania, I will be trekking for 7 days, travelling through 6 different eco systems and experiencing temperatures from 30c to -25. This is a huge challenge for me and I am aiming to raise £4000 for the charity.

So please, if you can, give generously as every donation counts and will make a huge difference to thousands of people.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
