In September, with a bunch of friends from the insurance industry, I am taking part in a 3-day trek in the Alps to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society.

Unfortunately every single one of us will experience dementia at some point, whether through a spouse, family member, friend or colleague and Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

We have a team target of £75k and not one penny of the money donated will go towards the cost of this trip, which I am covering myself - or the blister plasters I will surely need, or the whisky for my hip flask (whisky donations gratefully accepted)
