Story
Five years since diagnoses and I'm representing team GB!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page :-)
I was diagnosed with kidney failure in August 2010, exactly five years before this event! At this point I was extremely unwell and would not have been unable to enter any sporting event yet alone dream about represent my country in Argentina!
I was very lucky and had a transplant quickly, the kidney coming from my amazing mum. Since having the gift of life I have vowed to live my life to the full and that included entering the GB Transplant Games for the first time in August 2014.
I was overjoyed with my performance, coming home with one gold, three silver and one bronze medal, I didn't dream for one moment that I would do so well.
However, the icing on the cake was being asked to represent team GB in August 2015 in Argentina.
Unfortunately there is no funding available to support the transplant athletes going to the world transplant games so we need to raise the funds ourselves, this I where I hope you might be able to help me :-)
Please note that I am raising funds to cover my expenses associated with attending the World Transplant Games in Argentina, South America. Any surplus funds will go towards the Transplant Sport UK Management Team (including physios and coaches) who give up their time to support the team.
