I look after twins who go to the Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre and as I'm aware that the way the centre continues is from Fundraising and donations I want to do something crazy to raise funds for them!  So, I'm jumping out of an aeroplane!  I'd love it if you could support me and my fellow colleagues!

Henshaws is a charity committed to helping people living with sight loss and disability, as well as their families. Our specialist staff provide life-changing support and skill development across the North of England.

Arts & Crafts Centre

 

 

Our Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough provides training for people with disabilities. We support people to reach their true potential by giving them real work experience through our social enterprise. Every week, over 150 Art Makers take part in a range of workshops, including employability training, health and wellbeing, arts and crafts and multi-sensory. We also welcome visitors and hold regular events such as exhibitions, live music, theatre and craft fairs.

Henshaws College

Our specialist College in Harrogate provides a personalised education to empower young people with the skills and independence they need to achieve the future they want. We support both residential and day students with learning difficulties, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

 Housing and Support

 

We provide Housing and Support Services for people with a visual impairment and a range of other disabilities, enabling them to live more independently. Our houses are located in ordinary residential areas and can provide 24-hour Residential Care for both long and short term stays. We also offer a Home Support Service, helping people to live more independently in their own homes.
