This is the first time I have ever taken part in a Race for Life. Cancer seems to be raising its ugly head far too many times in my lifetime. I am running in memory of both of my grandfathers, my uncle Alan, my mum's best friend Carol, good friends Ray and Elaine and just in the past week my ex father-in-law Ken. I'm running to support Cancer Research to help those who have been treated for cancer and are fighting to stay healthy. This includes my own mum who beat breast cancer 10 years ago and more recently by best friends mum Chris who is currently undergoing treatment.
