Story
Only 1 in 10 blind / visually impaired people have a Guide Dog?
It costs in excess of £50,000 for the breeding, training and placement of a Guide Dog?
Guide Dogs for the Blind receive no funding support from the Government?
This is why Guide Dogs for the Blind need our help.
My team visited the Guide Dog Training Centre in Leamington Spa. On the back of this visit we all saw first hand just what a difference these special dogs make to enhancing the lives of blind / visually impaired people. As a result of this visit we have as a Team decided to raise the minimum amount of £5,000 in order to 'Name a Puppy' so that it can start it's training to become a fully trained Guide Dog.
We have all signed up to do a 13 mile walk around Bewl Water. We will be working together as a Team to raise the funds and achieve the £5,000 target to make a Widows Pup a reality.
