I'm taking part in the 2017 Manchester 10K as part of the University of Manchester team. It won't be fast and it won't be pretty. But I'm taking part because I'm lucky enough to be able to run and lucky enough to have a comfy home to return to afterwards (with beer and chocolate in the fridge, to boot).

Not everyone is as lucky as me. That's why I'm hoping to raise some money for Big Change Manchester. Money donated to the Big Change campaign fund will provide homeless people with the practical items they need to build new lives off the streets. This can include help with furnishing a new flat, purchasing crockery, pots and pans and bed linen, and travel to new accommodation.
