Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So Mac and I found each other in August 2016.  We’ve had quite a journey already as he hadn’t had a great couple of years since he left racing and I had zero confidence due to issues with my previous horse, oh and his anxiety went through the roof when travelling!  Between January and August 2017 we learnt to trust each other and built our confidence one ride at a time.  In January all we could do was ride down the road, in walk, with both of us having anxiety the whole time, fast forward 8 months and we are now cantering on rides, even if we’ve never been there before, we’ve had some lessons, we been out in the lorry to hack in new places, we've done a 4 day camp, we’ve done some dressage and we’ve even done some Le Trec training, something we’re going to pursue alongside this challenge.

So our next goal is to raise some money for this great charity and eventually do a BE80.  I love the sport of eventing and have been a spectator and volunteer for several years.  Always wanted to ‘have a go’ but never thought I would have the confidence to even consider doing so or have the horse to do it on.  I now believe that Mac and I can achieve this challenge and am so excited about embarking on this new journey together.   So lots to learn and no doubt there will be some ups and downs on the way but we’re going to give it a go together.  Thank you for reading our story.
