After watching the London Marathon my close friend Andy Highfield came up with the crazy idea of doing this event. He felt he needed a comrade and so asked me! (If you click on the link at the bottom of the page called 'Oakham Tough Guys' it will take you to a page that explains a bit more about what Andy and I will actually have to go through).

After thinking about it for a little bit I thought that it would be a great way to raise money for Sarcoma UK - the charity that my mum has chosen to support after the troubles she has been through and continues to endure.

A number of years ago she was diagnosed with cancer. Many operations later, along with courses of chemo and radiotheraphy, she is still fighting strong as best she can. She has been an inspiration to me so I thought that doing this would be a great way to contribute back. All the money raised will go straight to Sarcoma UK.
