Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 27th September 2014, I will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with some of my colleagues from Hyphen Law.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes place in the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The aim is to complete the walk in under 12 hours. The walk covers a distance of 37.5 km (23.3 miles) to 42 km (26.1 miles) (depending on the route) with nearly 1,600 m (5,249 ft) of ascent and descent.
My chosen charity is Sarcoma UK which is the only UK based, non government funded charity committed to raising awareness of this rare form of cancer, providing support, information, and seeking answers through research. Sarcomas affect the blood vessels, soft and connective tissue, and bones, they come in all different forms. Although they are rare, they effect 14% of all children's cancer and are most often terminal. A lovely friend of mine died from angio sarcoma in December 2012 and I intend to complete the challenge in her memory.
