Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
I’m fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of my Dad, Rob, who was only 40 when he lost his life to a brain tumour. I am proud to be a Patron of The Brain Tumour Charity, who provided my family with incredible support during my Dad’s illness. Now it’s my time to give back and raise some money for them!
Inspired by the tens of thousands of people who fundraise for this amazing charity, I set myself the target of completing not just one, but six challenges!
You can watch each of the challenges on ‘Tom Daley Goes Global’, a six episode series which starts on April 10th (Thursdays, 9pm, ITV2). I’ll be keeping you posted on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook each week too.
I had a great time travelling. To say some of the challenges were a little scary is an understatement, but it’s nothing compared to what 9,000 families go through each year when a loved one is diagnosed with a brain tumour.
My six challenges were:
1 Skydive (Thailand)
2 Paraglide (Japan)
3 Canyon swing (New Zealand)
4 Flying a fighter jet (Australia)
5 Bungee jump (Switzerland)
6 Repelling down a gorge (Morocco)
I’m hoping that with your help, we can make a real and lasting difference by fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity’s research programme. They need to raise at least £5million each year to fund research across the UK to find better treatments, improve diagnosis and ultimately find a cure. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of people under 40 in the UK, and it’s only through research that we will be able to prevent other families going through what we have.
Thank you for your support!
A cheeky donation would be amazing ;-)
