Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Everyone has been affected by Cancer, and 1 in 3 people in the UK will develop one of over 200 different types of Cancer at some point in their lives. In my family this statistic is true, my mother overcame Breast Cancer, and my father overcame Cancer of the mouth.
Sadly, my brother John died in November 2010 from a brain tumor, after bravely battling it for 2 years. This had a massive impact on my family, and those who knew him, and still devastates us to this day.
My 2 brothers and I, along with close friends, are doing a Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge from Whitehaven in Cumbria on the west coast to Wearmouth on the east coast on 17th June and it will take 3 days. We hope to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK, which recieves no Government funding, yet since research began the UK survival rate for Cancers has doubled in the last 40 years.
Every penny counts so please dig deep, no matter how small, so that one day others will not have to feel the pain of losing a loved one to Cancer.
Please give donations as Gift AID as the Taxman puts in 25% of every donation made to the charity.
Thank you all kindly,
Tom
