We enable the creation of marine reserves to reverse the crisis in our oceans

Story

As many of you know, 3 months ago, I became a father. It's safe to say that the last 90 days have been both magical and, well, they warn you about the sleep deprivation; it can make you do peculiar things they say.

Anyway, in 7 days time, on Sunday 17th September, apparently I’ve signed up to bike 120km from London to Folkestone.

My fellow bikers tell me training is crucial to surviving the experience. I had planned to, but then fatherhood hit and here I am sleep deprived, unfit and a week away from a hell of a bike ride.

Friends, I need your help because all of this is in aid of a fantastic organisation: The Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) which is tackling the overfishing crisis head on by creating marine reserves around the world. (You can read more here: http://www.bluemarinefoundation.com)

I appreciate we all have our personal causes but I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t believe in what these guys are doing. The ocean brings us all so much joy and it is in a sadly precarious state these days. I would be enormously grateful therefore, if you would be so kind to sponsor me on this woeful odyssey that I’ve signed myself up to, in order to support a fantastic organisation working to protect it for us all.

Thank you.  Love,

Tom x
