WHY AM I SUPPORTING MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT
Like many of us, whether directly or indirectly I have been affected by the devastation Cancer can bring to our lives. Family members and close friends have sadly passed too soon and the impact the disease has had not only on themselves but those around them is huge.
Sadly I lost my Grandmother to Cancer in 1998 when I was just 8 years of age. Despite being very young I remember her very fondly as a funny lady who loved making things and taking my sister and I out for fun days with Grandad.
Whilst it was very sad to lose "Nanny" I subsequently learned that she achieved outstanding care from Macmillan Cancer Support which made her last months comfortable and bearable for all of the family. Thanks to the fantastic work of charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support the lives of those affected CAN be improved which was certainly the case for Nanny. Whether it be practical, medical or financial support Macmillan are at the forefront in the push for better Cancer Care and that's why I have chosen this charity to support.
I know times are tough right now but any donation you can make will be hugely valued!
Thanks for visiting!
Toby
