My challenge with Duffle (Lintavon Mistral) is to compete in a BE 80 (Cross Country Event) to raise money for Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony Charity. This is such a worthy cause.  The big 'C' word would have sadly effected most of us in one way or another already in our lives.  Many of us may have lost friends and/or loved ones or know of someone currently suffering right now! And it could strike any one of us at any time which is a horrifying thought!

I heard about Hannah Francis and how brave & inspiring she was through a friend (Vicki Wise), who completed the challenge last year (well done Vicki). Vicki has inspired me to have a go. 

I often thought what fun cross country would be if only I had the guts to do it.  So, we are going to give it our best shot and knowing any money raised will be for such a great cause has given me even more of a push to get out there and have a go.

A little about us: Duffle (Lintavon Mistral) and I have been a team since September 2015, having fun, building a trust & learning together, challenging things we have never tried before.   Dressage has been our discipline and I am so proud of our achievements so far. We qualified for Hickstead Sunshine Tours 2 years running, being placed 6th on both occasions. 2016 at intro level & 2017 at prelim. We have had fun at the beach, on sponsored rides, training at clinics & having lessons. We have competed in local dressage competitions where we've almost every time come away with ribbons, a couple of cups & sashes..I'm like a little girl every time we do well!  It's not all been plain sailing though and has taken a lot of work as Duffle can be rather spooky at times & has quite an attitude when he wants to but he has a wonderful personality & such a cheeky character that we get over those moments and all in all we have lots of fun & are great friends. He makes me smile! He's a lovely boy!

Jumping is new to us & I can't believe we had our first go at Cross Country at 70cms last Summer which was a great experience for both of us and we came 5th! 😊..Considering we were only jumping cross poles a few months previous is quite an achievement!   Duffle is absolutely loving it!  I am enjoying it too but at 50 years old, I certainly need my brave pants on!   For us to challenge an 80cm cross country course feels and sounds terrifying!
