Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2009 England lost a hero when Lt Col Thorneloe was tragically killed during active service in Helmand Province in Afghanistan. He was the most senior officer to be killed in this conflict, cutting short a promising career and leaving behind him a loving family, friends and a country who mourn his loss. Col. Thorneloe was a Cothill old boy himself, and we at the school want to build a permanent memorial in his honour, to serve as an inspiration to Cothillians of the present and future.

This fundraising activity is the brainchild of one of the boys and is coordinated, organised and planned by him and his peers, with the blessing and support of the school.

So please dig deep and donate now.

In the words of Sir Winston Churchill: "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Thank you
Seb Prentice (2013 Cothill leaver)
