Story
We launched The Broad Appeal in February 2011 after losing Miche to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in July 2010. The aim of our appeal is to raise awareness and money to help fund research into finding a cure for the, at present, fatal MND.
It is a disease that attacks the nervous system and eventually leaves the sufferer unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. Currently MND kills 5 people every day and there are 5,000 sufferers at any one time in the UK. By raising awareness and money we hope that one day soon there may be a cure that means a diagnosis of MND is not a death sentence.
