On 21st June 2010 our great friend Simon Cooper lost his fight with cancer. Simon loved to challenge himself and took part in several London Triathlons.

 

We, Anne and Nic, thought it would be great to mark the anniversary of Simon passing by challenging ourselves in a way we think Simon would have liked. So on June 18th we will be taking part in the Great North Swim, a 1 mile race in the open water of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. The water is going to be icy cold so we'll be wearing wetsuits making the swim even more challenging than it already is bearing in mind Anne broke her knee in January and Nic hasn't swum in years. We'll be racing each other if you can call it that.

 

We'll be doing the swim to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
