Cycling the Dunwich Dynamo for Ben and Bone Cancer Research Trust

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page! On 13th July, I am cycling the Dunwich Dynamo in honour of my friend and PhD supervisor, Ben Collen, and for his family & friends. Ben passed away in May 2018, after 15 months of treatment for a rare form of bone cancer. Therefore, I am raising funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, who are fighting these under-researched and under-funded cancer types, providing research but also support to friends and families affected.
Words don't really do Ben's character justice, I feel. He was incredibly kind, he absolutely cracked me up and he was always really supportive. He meant a lot to me and I am so grateful for the short time he was my supervisor. He will continue to inspire me and I will carry his words and guidance with me for the rest of my career. Even if that means making some terrible jokes along the way!
The Dunwich Dynamo is a 110 mile overnight cycle ride from London Fields to Dunwich in Suffolk. To carry on the tradition, I will also be sporting a pink tutu as Ant Dancer did for the London marathon... and maybe add in some fairy lights to light the way! I am sure Ben would approve of this!
Your donations will contribute towards the incredible amount already raised by Ben's wife, Alanna Collen, and more recently his friend, Ant Dancer, via our team page, Beating Bone Cancer for Ben (see link above).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
THANK YOU!
