I have an extra special appeal this year because the Children's Liver Disease Foundation has granted me the privilege of a Golden Bond place in this year's Virgin London Marathon. I am delighted both to be able to fundraise for CLDF again, and to be finally given the chance to run in the London Marathon.

Keeping the marathon place is rightly dependent upon raising a reasonable amount of money, so please dig extra deep this time for me and for them. The amount of money I am looking to raise can, on its own, have a significant and measurable benefit for them to help assist children with liver disease, and their families, including some close friends of mine.

If I may bring out the violin for a moment, my training is going very well, but is proving extremely challenging especially in the freezing cold! Keep me motivated by donating as much as you can!
