Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi everyone.
On a Saturday in August 2013 myself and 20 others shall be walking from Oxford to Stevenage (approx 80 miles) in memory of former Stevenage FC player Mitchell Cole. Mitchell's squad number was 21 so thats why 21 Stevenage supporters are taking up the challenge to raise as much money as we can in his memory.
On 1st December 2012, the footballing world was left shocked with the news of the passing of Mitchell Cole. The most tragic part of all was that he left a wife and 3 kids behind, the 3rd child born a few days after he passed away. Mitchell had to retire from football early because of his heart condition. He played for Grays, Southend, Oxford and few other clubs but he most notibly played for my beloved Stevenage FC. Mitch scored the first goal of our glorious comeback in the FA Trophy of 2007 against Kidderminster Harriers infront of nearly 54000 people where Stevenage aka Boro won 3-2, it was the first cup final to be played at the new Wembley. I never knew Mitch on a personal level but I hear he was one of the good guys who always put others first even people he never knew.
Please give as much or as little as you can.
Thanks
Terry
