We manage Wimbledon and Putney Commons to preserve it as a natural open space

Story

Just when Merlin thought it was safe to go back in the Park without someone climbing on his back in fancy dress the sponsored ride has come round again. So I shall try to find an entertaining costume and he will look forward to cantering for the photographers.

I believe that the charity I have chosen this year does very valuable work.  We may find it difficult to personally stop the destruction of the rain forest but we can try to ensure the preservation of trees and natural resources locally, and particularly in our cities. . Wimbledon and Putney Commons are 1,140 acres of countryside amidst the urban surroundings of Wimbledon, Putney and Kingston-upon-Thames.  Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation, the Commons provide an important home for wildlife and a place for visitors to relax and unwind.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
