'Bookham Bikers for Team Bea' is Andrew Smith and friends, joining with Team Proctor running at the London Landmarks half marathon, also taking place next Sunday 25th March (and organised in large part by Andrew's cousin Dominic Proctor). 

Our 100km bike ride is raising funds in memory of the youngest member of the Proctor family, Beatrice Emilia Bunning. Beatrice was Dominic's grand daughter. This is her story, written by her parents and wider family:

"Beautiful Bea passed away a couple of hours after entering the world last May, after putting up the most amazing fight. She couldn’t be more loved or missed and we are determined to honour Bea and keep her memory alive by supporting Tommy’s, the baby charity.

Tommy’s is an incredible charity, that Dad/Dominic/Chief Cheerleader has been a Trustee of since helping to launch it 25 years ago. It exists to save babies' lives and funds vital research into the causes and preventions of pregnancy complications. Astoundingly 15 babies die in the UK every single day through either miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. We hope we can help Tommy’s drastically reduce these scary numbers and limit the number of families that have to go through what ours have done.

Bea has left a huge void in our lives but she has also inspired so much love and we want to smash this for her!
