Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page where you can help support us! Riders on Team Convenience are: Annalise, Claudia, Hamish, Simon, Andrzej and Frank.

We are all raising money for Get A Head, a wonderful charity which provides support for and research into head & neck cancers. We're doing this in memory of Mel Jaggard, a beloved colleague and friend who sadly passed away in 2013 from Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC), a very rare form of cancer.

Throughout her epic battle, Mel and her family awareness and a significant amount of money for research into ACC. Inspired by Mel, we decided to pick up where she had left off and so it was in 2014 that 48 of us cycled from Unilever's head office in Leatherhead to Mel's home town of Gilwern in South Wales. In 2015 we did it again, this time in a peloton of 78. In 2016 Miles 4 Mel is back to keep the memory of Mel very much alive and "cycling" and to raise more vitally important money for the Get A Head charitable trust.
