Devastating conflicts coupled with severe ongoing drought has ravaged Somalia which has left more than 6 million (half the country’s population) facing food shortages and contaminated water supplies due to the spread of waterborne diseases, rendering them undrinkable and essentially displacing millions of families. 

The drought is exacerbating the country’s on-going humanitarian crisis where more than 1.4 million children are acutely malnourished and in need of urgent life-saving assistance. Continuing urgent, lifesaving response is vital and could potentially lift the country out of vulnerability and insecurity and help bridge the gap between humanitarian and development efforts by donating today to a cause that is collectively trying to secure funding and create the capacity to support a response over a longer period to ensure that drought never turns to famine again. 

So donate today, even if it’s just £1, to ensure that a child is nourished and fed, removing a huge worry for parents who are trying to rebuild their lives.
