3 Lochs Way Sponsored Walk · 13 June 2015

We provide compassionate hospice care to add life to days.

Story

We are walking the 34 mile 3 Lochs Way to raise funds to help reach our office total of £10,000 for the new Atrium in Glasgow's new Hospice.  There are 6 of us in the team, Andy, Finlay, Frances, Jim, and Stewart and we are planning to complete the walk in under 14 hours.

The route includes

  • Balloch to Helensburgh – 9 miles, ascent 400m
  • Helensburgh to Garelochhead – 6.5 miles, ascent 200m
  • Garelochhead to Arrocher – 12.7 miles, ascent 490m
  • Arrocher to Inveruglas – 6 miles, ascent 411m

A total  climb of 1500m. Ben Nevis is 1,344m in height so we will be walking 34 miles in 14 hours and climbing Ben Nevis at the same time.
