Fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity
Story
We are Team Ten from NCS and this summer we are raising funds for local charity, Alfie's Journey Fund (The Brain Tumour Charity).
Alfie's Journey Fund was set up in memory of 6yr old Alfie Thomas, who tragically passed away in 2014 from an inoperable brain tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG)
As well as raising awareness of DIPG, Paediatric Brain Tumours, Alfie's Journey Fund also raises funds for research to help children affected by this devastating disease in the future.
We have chosen to support this worthy cause because Alfie is the younger brother of one of our team members, and because DIPG has no cure, so children like Alfie need our help.
We will be running a bake sale, and completing a sponsored walk.
Any donation big or small, will be greatly appreciated by us all.
