Poem-A-Thon for Médecins Sans Frontières, 12 December 2016
We provide emergency medical care worldwide to people affected by conflict & disasters.

Story

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading emergency medical humanitarian aid organisation.We provide emergency assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. We work in over 60 countries and go to the places where others cannot or choose not to go.

The Poem-A-Thon is a great idea - a whole doay of non-stop poetry reading, involving original material and poems that inspire. The whole event is in aid of the terrible refugee crisis that hasn't gone away though many of the cameras and news agencies have. The theme will be on 'Refugees' - come along if you can (12/12/2016) and PLEASE donate what you can. Here's a poem to get you going:

-Beneath the Banyan tree

There on the horizon
We shall meet,
All together
Beneath the Banyan tree;
Together with Rishis
And their humming melodies
There by the Banyan tree,
Will you remember me?
