We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

Like so many of you, I have watched too many people that I have loved battle against cancer and so far cancer has won far too often. I used to read the blogs by the incredibly brave Hannah Francis, who sadly lost her battle in August and cry. I was inspired by Hannah to try to raise money to fight cancer and to help seriously ill people fulfill their horsey wishes. When the Wobbleberry idea of competing in a BE80 came up, it seemed to provide me with the perfect solution.

However, what seemed to be a good idea at the time now seems to be increasingly terrifying.

By next autumn, I will be expected to compete in a proper event alongside proper eventers, first doing 'stressage', followed by show jumping over poles with daylight between them and the ground and then I will be expected to gallop over a series of solid fences, through water and over banks and ditches and all in the right order! Madness!

Luckily, I will be partnering the very chilled, talented and completely gorgeous Hugh ( who is only 6 and has yet to compete at BE 80 himself). I have no doubt that he will take it all in his stride as he has everything else we have thrown at him. I only hope I can keep up with him!
