Did you know the London's Air Ambulance needs money to extend their flying hours? If they can raise the money, they will be buying a new helicopter and hiring more crew to keep us all safer. The helicopter covers 600 square miles of London and gets to the furthest reaches of the M25 in about 12 minutes, flying at 150mph, from its daytime base at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. The crew can perform critical procedures on scene including open-chest surgery and anaesthesia, and last month the air ambulance began carrying blood. How fantastic is that?

On the 20th of April I will be joining some fantastic paramedics and a few other friends and we're jumping off an airplane with GoSkyDive (www.goskydive.com) and we’re hoping to raise as much money as we can for the LAA. We were up on the helipad the other day and oh, is it exciting!
