Story
Well here's how my story is in relation to Alzheimer’s Society .I met a lovely lady during our New Year celebrations in Bamburgh who , to cut a long, not grey, story short wanted us to know about a fantastic initiative that she was working on for her 60th 🎉 Birthday.Basically she wanted 60 people to raise £600 for Alzheimer's Society. Given my own family's experience of the devastation that Alzheimer's causes I was totally drawn in to this challenge. We all have our own personal things that we can n can't do. My can do was always to grow old gracefully, no booby jobs etc etc. The only thing that I knew I could not do was to go grey..... total vanity. So I am challenging my vanity. I will not re colour my hair from May ... staying grey for May and for every £100 I raise I will stay grey until January 1st 2018.I know this is about vanity but for those who know me ( and Bruce and many of my family n friends) this is very tricky for me, to say the least .But through this 60/600 challenge and the selflessness of Julie ( the inspiration behind this challenge ) I really hope that we all can help Alzheimer's Society to continue their work In transforming the landscape of dementia forever."Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice."(Alzheimer's Society)
Thank you in anticipation of your support
