Unfortunately, there were two casualties and over 100 seriously injured.Blythswood Care has been involved with delivering 100’s of tonnes of aid to the Kraljevo region for almost 10 years
The Commissioner of Raska Region and the Secretary of CKKV-Red Cross of Kraljevo have formally written to us appealing for help. They have advised us this will be a long term programme of support for at least 9 months. Now we have received formal requests for help from 'Studenica' Bolnica, 'Agens'rehabilitation centre and schools in Kraljevo, Obrva and Vitanovac.

Since arriving in Kraljevo, I have nukerous meetings with top officials.
The local government must be congratulated for the amazing job they have already done. Their is a real community spirit here. Nationally many large companies have donated building material. The Central Government has seent 1,000's of roof tiles. This has menat due to the warm weather being experienced many houses with minor roof damage have been repaired, which means they are water proof before the snows arrive. 2,500 plus families are not so lucky, these have extensive damage to property or indeed condemned property. These families are eaither living with families and friends or being housed in Hotel 'Collective centres', in Vrnjacka Banja and Goc.
The old part of the main hospital has been extensively damaged, the Director Dr Asic has a office now in the main restaurant of the hospital.
The main needs are as follows.
1. Money to buy food.
2.Sheets, pillows,pyjamas, 'Pampers' -Incontenence pads.
3. Detergent,soap,shampoo and toilet rolls.
The later two requests are directly from Dr Asic at 'Studenica Bolnica' and the Secretary of the Crveni Krst Kraljevo.(Red Cross of Kraljevo)
Plans are being made for our fourth lorry to leave in two weeks time.
Hvala Puno.
Up dated 15th January 2011, on location in Kraljevo.
