Hi

For those who don't know me, I'm a 36 year old married mum of 2 beautiful daughters.

Most of my time is taken up working, caring for, and spending time with my family.  Recent events in 2014 have made me realise, more than ever, how precious and short life can be.

The word 'Cancer' strikes fear into us all.  A cure needs to be found in our lifetime, so we can be sure our children and generations that follow, never have to endure the suffering and devastation this awful disease causes.

I have decided to take part in my first ever triathlon as a personal challenge and, more importantly, to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK.  It's a privilege to be joining the Helen Pote Tribute Triathlon Team.  Helen was a truly inspirational woman, who has been taken from her loved ones way too soon.

The triathlon is a 400m swim, followed by a 23k bike ride and a 5k run, so completing this will be a massive achievment for me!!
