Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Any amount you can give will help disabled children and young people take part in sport.
We were inspired by the amazing performances at the Paralympics and if, by running the VIrgin London Marathon, we can raise money to enable more disabled children to experience the joy and friendship to be found in sport we will have achieved our aim - and maybe even helped the next generation of paralympians!
Training Diary
6th March: It is getting very close now! Well done Sue M for completing the Bath half marathon in a PB time. I have been hindered by an injury but back to training tomorrow thank goodness! Thank you all for your donations and good wishes. We will put a photo up soon but just now all we are managing to do is work and train - although we did fit in a visit to the theatre to see Miranda which was a much needed bit of light relief! Looking forward to the get stream moving north so we have some good weather to train in!
19th February:
We have been for a good training run today out in the fresh air and at a pace we are happy with. It is hard to build up the miles though but we will keep going and changing the long run to a Saturday so we have Sunday for the recovery run should work well.
Thanks to everyone for the fantastic advice and encouragement - it is very welcome.
An amazing £517 was raised for Kids Get Going on Friday when we had a Dress Down Day at school and Mr Fanet did a sponsored guitar half marathon for the cause alongside other competitions.
Thank you all!
15th January: Week 4 of Training
Back at work so thank goodness for the running machine to combat dark mornings and evenings - not to mention the rain!
Our families have been major supporters of our decision to run along with friends and St Joseph's School pupils, parents, staff and governors - thank you all.
