We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

I seem to have been persuaded to do this Challenge (well I suppose I did agree!) to ride one of my daughter's horses in a British Eventing 80cm (2'9" ish) one day event sometime next year... that's dressage, showjumping and cross-country jumps all in one day for those of you who aren't horsey... considering the fact that I have never done a competition on a horse, can't do dressage and have never jumped a showjumping or cross-country course this is REALLY going to be a challenge! I'm sure it will be fun too, and scary and everything else. There will be loads of others doing it too, many who like me have supported their kids doing horsey stuff for years and never competed themselves.

What really persuaded me to sign up is that it's all in aid of cancer research, and the brainchild of the totally inspirational Hannah Francis who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year at the far too young age of 18. She remained amazingly positive to the last and set up the charity Willberry the Wonder pony even when she was seriously ill. The charity has already raised thousands of pounds for bone cancer research. As well as raising more funds, the Wobbleberry Challenge will be helping lots of people in many ways through fitness, learning new skills, overcoming fears, making new friends, and being part of a team... what a great idea.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause that's great, if you don't want to that's great too, just add the odd comment perhaps to keep me going! I will be donating money myself as I go along - if anyone is willing to give me free or reduced fee tuition or schooling facilities (and I'm going to need a lot!) I'll give the money I would have paid to the charity.

Have a laugh at my photos as I progress... or not... through the year...
