Story
The Mongolia Charity Rally is a 10,000 mile trek from London, UK to the historic city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The event is run by UK based charity, Go Help, who strive to provide medical support to disadvantaged communities in Mongolia. However after the journey begins, teams are left to find their own route across two continents.
The main purpose of the event isn’t to go on a jolly across 1/3 of the world, but to do a service for charity. Teams will be taking a vehicle of medical use to donate on arrival to the Go Help Ambulance Project.
Team Stop Yakking! has decided to sign up and strive to deliver a vehicle of our own to the people of Mongolia. The rally kicks off in early July 2013 and teams are expected to arrive approximately 1 month later, in August. The event will take extensive planning, fundraising, and sponsorship support across the next half year. We’re hoping to raise a minimum of £1000 for charity through various fundraising events.
