Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Inspired by the team that have cycled to the UK mainland Optometry departments I felt I could do something too. Less ambitious I know but I have to work. So I am challenging myself to cycle to Settle in an afternoon. Should be possible. Its only 36 miles from work... But as home is the top of a hill I have set a side challenge of Lee Lane. Its one of the numerous roads up to Queensbury. But this is a 400 ft climb in half a mile, and its cobbled with a hairpin bend half way up.

So think of me puffing and panting up that slope.

Building on previous years amazing efforts, this year the organisers hope to encourage individuals and teams to cycle a total of 25,000 miles and raise donations of £25,000. All the money raised will go towards Optometry Giving Sight who provide the gift of vision by providing glasses to people who would otherwise go without.
