Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service for 23 years. I have spent over half of my service working to help vulnerable victims of crime. My work in this area has included
child abuse investigation, domestic abuse, missing people and child exploitation. Working in these areas is often incredibly challenging and demanding but can be extremely rewarding when you have helped to make someone’s life that little bit better.
Following the passing of my father five years ago and my best man, Pierre, two years ago, I have decided to challenge myself and embark on a trek to the Mount Everest Base Camp. I wanted to also support a charity that focuses on supporting vulnerable victims of crime as this is something I have strong passion for. I will be completing the trek of a lifetime whilst supporting the charity Embrace CVOC.
Embrace Child Victims of Crime (CVOC) is a national children’s charity solely focused on supporting children, young people and families who have been harmed by serious crime.
Embrace supports children and families to help them cope with what has happened, support their recovery, and provide services that enable them to put events behind them, move on and fulfil their life’s potential.
With the right intervention, children impacted by crime can fulfil their potential and go on to lead healthy and happy lives.
