Story

The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (PWRR) nicknamed “The Tigers” are supporting their community with Fierce Pride in the summer of 2014.  Between the tidal window of 19th to 27th July the team of six swimmers from the Regiment (The Tiger Sharks), including both Regular soldiers and Reservists, many of whom have served their country on active duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Balkans and Northern Ireland will be swimming the English Channel.

The team's Team Leader Steve Wall is determined to raise funds for the charities SCOPE (who help disabled people by providing a range of services),  Naomi House & Jacks Place and Demelza (both of which are hospices providing care and support to children and young people who suffer from life-limiting or life threatening conditions)together with the Regimental Benevolent Fund.

PWRR  come from and are part of the community  that these charities support, with the Regiment recruiting from Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Middlesex, Surrey, London and the Channel Islands.  PWRR are the current Army Swimming Champions and with the English Channel as the next challenge it is true to say that the Tigers truly do love water!  Please support this dedicated group of men prepare for an exceptional  challenge and help them to raise funds  to help those in very great need.  Your support is very much appreciated.
