One in three people will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. A close friend recently received that news and I am dedicating the cycle ride in honour of John Stoner. Macmillan Cancer Support, my chosen charity, improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and emotional support.

Fourteen of us have decided to cycle from Weybridge to Paris to raise funds for our respective charities. The 187 mile trip will take place over the three day period April 29-May 1st 2011. Whilst I have done a few charity one day bike rides this is a big challenge and I'm training in earnest.
