We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Thank-you for visiting my fund-raising site.

For one month, starting the 4th July I shall be wearing a kilt full-time. This task was given to me by a group of friends (after choosing a costume for a medieval wedding by closing my eyes and sticking a pin in the list of available outfits) and, not being Scottish or living in Scotland, this is a somewhat unusual and worrying prospect.

Still, with your help, I can raise a great deal of money in support of the scientific research of dementia and possibly ways of preventing it, treating it or maybe even reversing some or all of its effects.

The subject is rather close to me as my Mum has vascular dementia and the deterioration over the last eight years, starting as seemingly minor character quirks and progressing to the point where she needs almost constant care from my Dad. So I'm glad to be able to help at least in a small way but doing something really loopy!

About the charity
