Story
Update 30 Nov 2011: finished my second channel swim in 13 sessions this time, swimming 3 times a week (apart from one week).
Update 31 Oct 2011:
I've completed the 1416 x 25m lengths, in 15 public swim sessions. I'm feeling very positive, so I'm swimming 22 miles again by 30 November. Please make a donation and help me achieve my target of £450.
12 Sept 2011:
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Three years ago I completed the Aspire Channel Swim Challenge in less than the time allowed and raised over £150. This year I'm making the return journey from France! I'm planning to complete the challenge in less than 20 swimming sessions. I need to swim 1416 lengths in Ilkley pool, which is 25 metres, so wish me well ..
Aspire provides practical help to people who have a spinal cord injury. Did you know that every eight hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury? Disability is expensive; lightweight wheelchairs can cost up to £4,000 - that's a lot of money! Aspire helps buy lightweight wheelchairs so that people can live more independent lives.
Aspire also visit newly injured patients in hospital to offer support and advice, and point people to services such as Aspire Housing.
