Hello! 

Why am I growing my armpit hair for August? Two reasons.

1. Armpits4August is for a great cause. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is hardly ever talked about and sufferers get very little information, or support from doctors. Verity helps to fill this gap.

2. I've started to think that the sociatal pressure on people to look a certain way is quite unhealthy. So it's my hope that by having the confidence to stand out and not shave off hair that's supposed to be there I can inspire others to worry less about the way they look in comparison to what they see on billboards, magazines and music videos. 

I've already had a few people tell me that they think what I'm doing is 'vile', and I was surprised to encounter such vitriol so early on. My feeling is the best way to counter this is by digging deep and donating, or by helping to spread the word via Twitter, Facebook and email!
